Share Well, Play Loud, Live Greatly-Ibanez Guitars
Ibanez acoustic guitars have been around the music world for a long time now. The company originated in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan in the early 1900’s. The Ibanez brand was actually purchased from the original creator of the guitar ‘Ibanez Salvador’ from Spain. After the Spanish Civil War broke out the warehouse caught on fire destroying the business. Hoshino Gakki saw an opportunity and bought the brand from Ibanez in the 1930’s.
Through out the 50’s and 60’s Gakki mainly copied other European and American instrument designs. This business model worked well for them up until infamous ‘Ibanez Lawsuit.’ Ibanez was sued for copying other models, but not to long after this started Gakki decided to start creating his own designs. In the early 80’s with the new designs the company began to flourish. Many celebrities began to support and use Ibanez instruments.
Ibanez handles and manufacturers most guitar and guitar type instruments. On their website you can find acoustic guitars along with electric, acoustic/electric, mandolin, ukulele, bass, hollow body guitars along with any electronics you may need. Finding an Ibanez acoustic guitar, or any of their instruments is relatively easy. The first place to look is their website Ibanez.com. Here you can find all of their instruments and electronics. You can also find the retail outlets where you can purchase the model of guitar that you desire. Along with the website you can also find the Ibanez acoustic guitar on many other online sites. Amazon.com and craigslist.org are a couple of examples.
Many people are blown away by the prices and quality of the Ibanez brand. Many new acoustic’s can be found for as low as $99. The prices do go up from there, but many believe that even the lower end Ibanez guitars have more of a $400-$500 quality.
This Japanese guitar has come a long way in the past 100 years. From, a small bookstore in Japan to the global legend that it is today. Ibanez has helped shape music the way we see it, and continues on that path. I believe that Hoshino Gakki’s dream has became a reality and we are grateful for his passion.
